Kisspeptin is a signaling peptide crucial for the reproductive hormone pathway, telling the brain to release GnRH, which then prompts the pituitary gland to release LH and FSH. Kisspeptin-10 clears quickly, while kisspeptin-54 lasts longer and is commonly used in human trials.
| Dose | Frequency | Duration | Route | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kisspeptin-10 Low-dose pulse | 50-100 mcg | Once daily SC | N/A | Subcutaneous |
| Kisspeptin-10 Standard pulse | 100-200 mcg | Once daily SC | N/A | Subcutaneous |
| Kisspeptin-10 Split dose | 100 mcg | Twice daily SC | N/A | Subcutaneous |
| Kisspeptin-54 IVF oocyte maturation trigger | 3.2-12.8 nmol/kg single bolus | Single dose | N/A | Subcutaneous |
Cycle: Short pulses or short cycles (e.g., 2-4 weeks active, 2-4 weeks off) are used to avoid desensitization, where continuous exposure can make the signal fade.
Benefits and research observations: Kisspeptin usually produces a fast LH and FSH signal; Kisspeptin-10's LH peak is 30-60 min (SC) with return to baseline in several hours, while Kisspeptin-54's LH peak is ~5 hours (SC) with return to baseline in 12-14 hours. Monitor total testosterone, LH, FSH, and estradiol, along with subjective markers like sleep and mood.
Handling and storage
